Behind the Scents: October Edition
Global warming isn't making it feel like it here in Chicago where it's an unseasonably warm 75 degrees F, but sure enough, the harvest says it's Fall! I've been trying to figure out if Fall is my favorite harvest season but truthfully, I just love making the best out of every season's bounty.
I recently visited a local orchard with a small group of Soap Distillery extended team members and because it's my favorite time of the season, I went all OUT. I picked a ton of Pink Lady apples and Evercrisp apples, as well as tomatillos, jalapeños, plum tomatoes, eggplants and banana peppers.
I also have a small garden at home where I've just harvested the last of this season's cherry peppers, lemongrass, and eucalyptus, and while they are not ready yet, I am very excited to get some figs!

CANDLES AND THE WINTER EDIT
You all already know that we are *always* busy behind the scenes and I've got some great news for those missing your out of stock candles: new candles are dropping soon! Our new packaging has tested very well and these little candles are filling big ol' rooms with scent. Candles are scheduled to be restocked in very early November!

CURRENT OBSESSION
Since it's Fall, you already know that I'm FEELING the spice. My favorite combo at the moment is Sunset Fig and Rye Whiskey! I've been using the Hand and Body Wash in the kitchen, the Rye Whiskey Bar Soap in the shower, and then following up with the Sunset Fig Botanical Body Oil after the shower to nourish my skin.
