Smells Like: A whiskey scent, but better. Just like a good sipper, our Bourbon has all the old fashioned layers that make it smell so good. Notes of split vanilla bean, vetiver root, and clove with just a hint of smoke like a charred oak barrel.
Feels like: A flavor profile so complex that each sip tastes a little different than the last.

About Our Candles: Our non-GMO soy wax candles are paraffin free! Made with clean burning, paraben free, phthalate free refined fragrance, 100% domestically harvested soybean wax (Glycine Soja), sustainably sourced fragrance (Parfum) infused with natural essential oils, and a cotton wick for the cleanest, most fragrant burn.
How to open (candle tins): It's a little paint can! Just use a small screw driver or other similar blunt tool like a spoon to pry the cap off. Voilà!

How to Use + Product Care
1. Before you burn: Make sure to trim your wick to roughly 1/4in (6mm) before your first burn. This will increase the life of your candle.
2. While you burn: Keep that candle burning for at least an hour, or until a full wax melt pool forms. This will help prevent tunneling!
3. Be safe: Don't leave any lit candle unattended, and don't burn your candle for more than 4 hours at a time.
4. Once your candle has gotten down to about 1/4in (6mm) of wax left, discard the remaining wax and recycle/reuse the jar! It is unsafe to burn a candle that is under 1/2 in height as it can cause the jar to overheat which can damage surfaces or create fire hazards.
I can’t say enough good things about this candle. I have reordered several times and so many guests have complimented it that I try to keep an extra on hand to share! Buy this candle. You won’t be disappointed.

Tbh, at first, I thought this candle had very little hot scent throw. However, when I lit this candle in my master bath, I left for a little while. I came back and then, low and behold...an absolutely incredible fragrance that filled my large master bath! I have a hard time describing this unique scent, but this Bourbon candle smells like nothing you have ever smelled in a candle, in my opinion! Nice long burn time for a small candle too. Just purchased another Soap Distillery Bourbon candle along with my favorite SD product - the Hand & Body Wash. Those are incredible too, but I may do a review on THAT soon :-)
I always keep 2 differnet scented candles on my stove that I rotate through every couple of days.
I find myself extending the burn time of the Bourbon Candle.... love the scent and even after dousing, the scent lingers.
