It's Polling Season, Ya Know?

When I said this was going to be a year of customer's choice, I meant it! It's officially polling season and in our last newsletter (which you should absolutely be subscribed to by the way) I put out an open casting call for the reader to let me know their greatest desires from us and you all had some great ones! Let's see if you can figure out the running theme:

"I would love if you offered refills/refillable body/hand wash options. One other thought for a new scent - something beachy! - Kellie"

"I would love a coconut/beachy drink scented soap and possibly oil. Like old school suntan oil - something you would use on vacation. It would be great for vacation, summer, and this time of year when your only vacation is an extra-long, extra-hot shower! - Bethany"

"A couple summers ago, I bought sunshine and coconut nectar bar soap from you. THAT was the most perfect bar soap and scent, any chances that will come back?!?!? I keep praying I'll see again that scent pop back up. love what you do! - Ashley"

I gotta say that a BUNCH of y'all reached out (I'm still going through the emails!), but there was a clear central theme outside of "please make more Beer + Cigarettes stuff" which obviously makes a ton of sense to us northern folks...🏖️😎 (and yeah, I GET it y'all Beer + Cigarettes folks, trust me. What I'm Diggin' Right Now

It kinda feels a little crazy to think about Valentine's Day right now because Christmas somehow feels both like it was two days ago, and 10 years ago. To be honest, I'm doing my due diligence as a business owner to rally around The Love Holiday, but I've mostly been leaning into my citrus era. I've even been making a ton of citrusy salads too which is nice post heavy holiday food.

It's funny because those who know me know I'm much more of an Hinoki + Fern girlie, but I really need the joy that citrus brings to the table. It's bright, it's sunny, and it feels like it's the smell of hope. We might need a little of that these days.

For those of us in northern states, it's also been kind of a crazy winter because it was cold AF in December, then it snowed a bunch, then it all melted and the temps leveled out, and now it's bitterly cold again with more more more snow! So, since I can't be out on the warm beach or in my very green garden, bathing in citrus scents is the next best thing. 🍋💚🍊.

News: A Switch Up, But Trust The Process

While the US supply chain continues to get squeezed, there are a few product and sourcing improvements we've been working towards. I also want to make sure that we have room to bring you a few of the things you've been asking for over the last couple of years. This means that we're going to have to discontinue a couple of product lines to make more room for those new changes and to make those supply chain improvements.

I'll be announcing a few changes in the coming days and weeks, so keep an eye out for that and know that its certainly not to bum you out. Maybe it's the final step we need to launch refills. Maybe it's an improvement on ingredient sourcing. Maybe it's just to figure out a better way to give you better options.

In either direction, just stick with us. It's gonna get even cooler around here :) And while you may end up losing one thing, I'm confident you'll gain an even better thing. And if you still wanna weigh in and give me your product suggestions/desires/requests, you know what to do...👇🏽👇🏽👇🏽
