We are Soap Distillery! Soap Distillery is a Chicago based bath and body care company that manufactures uniquely scented products that uplift your everyday routine. Our start came from our ever popular cocktail themed line, and has since expanded to a deck of fun products with a sustainable edge. Soap Distillery was born from a need to see product and owner diversity within the natural body care world. Our founder, Danielle Martin, had a vision to create the fun and sustainable products that we have been known for since 2012. Responsibilities

Are you looking for a manufacturing position that allows you to be creative? A Soap Crafter may be the right fit for you! We make SLS, paraben, and phthalate free products with intent and creativity. Work with a myriad of botanicals, oils, and essential oils to create our unique, 5-star soap.

Responsibilities for this position are detailed below:

• Oil and Chemical Master Batching
• Soap production preparation
• Weighing and parting out raw materials (colors, botanics, etc)
• Cutting and staging soap box liners
• Physical Soap Production
• Soap Processing and typical production tasking:
• Boxing Soaps
• Filling Jars and Bottles
• Inventory management assistance
• Cleaning and maintaining equipment
• Boxing Products

Qualifications

We are a small company looking to grow with you! Ideal applicants for this position should be described as the following:

• Must be consistently on time and reliable
• Detail oriented
• Strong communicator
• Comfort using large hand mixers, standing mixers, and commercial bakery style equipment
• Must have positive energy
• Self-motivated to perform well
• Comfort working with fragrance materials
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Comfort handling, bending over, and lifting 50 lbs
• Ability to learn quickly
• Ability to perform well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to maintain focus while performing repetitive tasks for long periods of time
• Previous commercial crafting and/or baking experience is a plus
